Scholarship Information
General Information
As the TCAA scholarship fund grows, assistance will be made available to a wider range of applicants and in varying amounts. At present, funding is limited to a maximum of $500, to be applied to travel expense or tuition only.
Prospective students should feel free to personally contact the member or members they wish to study with and arrange to visit the member(s) at a time convenient to both member and student. Arrangements regarding dates and cost are between the member and student.
We would like to see applicants with several years of experience in their chosen field. By having several years of experience the applicant will have a good working knowledge of the craft and be able to ask specific questions about problem areas, or areas of the craft they want to learn more about, thus getting the most out of their time with the member and the member's expertise.
Applicant must personally contact member with whom they wish to study, determine the members availability, and make tentative arrangements for date(s) to be spent with member prior to submitting application.
Scholarship Criteria
Applicant must have financial need for a scholarship. Applicant must establish approximate cost of visit, travel expenses and lodging (if applicable) before applying for a scholarship.
As our funds are limited, we would like to ask those who can pay their own expenses to do so allowing us to fund scholarships for those who cannot afford the total cost to study with a member or attend a workshop.
Workshop Scholarships
Advanced workshops sponsored by the TCAA will be evaluated for scholarship eligibility on an individual basis at the time of development. Please note that scholarships are not available for 'basic' or 'beginner' workshops sponsored by the TCAA.
Important Notes!
- Scholarships are not required for acceptance to study with TCAA members.
- Arrangements regarding dates and cost are between the member and applicant.
